Methodist Home for Children offers day treatment services to youth, ages 8 to 18, who are diagnosed with mental illness/severe emotional disorders and underlying developmental disabilities. These youth are residents in the Jacksonville, NC area, living in their home, in foster care or in MHC's Level III group home for dually diagnosed teens (ages 8 to 18). An on-site school provides age-appropriate curricula, with staff coordinating assignments with Onslow County public schools to ensure academic credits and consistency.

The program uses a Model of Care that provides direct, individualized, behavioral interventions for each child.
